Know About KLM Airlines Rating, Baggage Fees, Fares and Restricted Items

KLM airline is legally known as Koninklijke Luchtvaart Maatschappij airline. It is a flag carrier airline of the Netherlands. It is a renowned airline that has 145 destinations. Check-in Baggage Allowances

Each piece of check-in baggage must not exceed:

23 kg or 32 kg according to the class of travel (Check the table), and 158 cm (height + length + width)

For Light tickets: 1 piece of hand baggage is allowed

If you want to bring more baggage you can purchase the extra baggage online with a discount during your booking or in My Trip.

Standard and Flex tickets: 1 piece of hand baggage and 1 piece of check-in baggage

Besides that, if you are, Flying Blue Platinum, Gold and Silver members can bring 1 extra piece of check-in baggage L + W + H mac 158 cm (62 inches), in, total max. 23 kg (50 lbs.). This applies to all SkyTeam operated flights.

On the other hand, flying Blue Explorer members have the same baggage allowance as regular flyers.

*This also applies to KLM flights between continental Europe and Algeria, Israel, Morocco, and Tunisia.

Special cases for baggage allowance in Economy Class 

There are some special cases when the passengers of economy class can carry a second piece of baggage weighing up to 23 kg, and 158 cm (height + length + width) free of charge.

Excess Baggage Fees

• Each piece of check-in baggage outside your free allowance may weigh up to 23 kgs (50.5 lbs). For every extra piece of check-in baggage weighing more than 32 kg (70.5 lbs), you need to pay a fee and these will be transported as cargo. Please contact AIR FRANCE KLM Cargo freight service.
• Furthermore, you can also take an extra piece of baggage at a low standard fee. You can take advantage of this discount on the excess baggage fee by arranging it:

2. While checking-in online
