Air India Announced New Flights Connecting USA to Mumbai and Bengaluru

Flights from Mumbai to Bengaluru are now available on Air India. Thus, Mumbai and Bengaluru now have four flights each day. On August 20, 2022, the airline announced 24 new domestic flights, including the new BOM-BLR flights. These additional flights will mostly serve metro cities, including Mumbai, Bengaluru, Delhi, and Chennai, among others.

A Twitter post from Air India stated the following: “Be ready for more flying options between Mumbai and Bengaluru as we introduce a new flight between these cities effective 20th August. There is now a total of 4 flights to choose from. Now enjoy more comfort, more choice, and more convenience.”

A total of 24 additional flights have been launched by Air India

New frequencies have been added to the route from Delhi to Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Ahmedabad, as well as to the route from Mumbai to Chennai and Hyderabad. The routes from Mumbai to Bengaluru and from Ahmedabad to Pune have also been enhanced.

According to Air India’s announcement – “The additional 24 flights include two new frequencies from Delhi to Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Ahmedabad, and Mumbai to Chennai and Hyderabad, as well as one new frequency on the Mumbai- Bengaluru route and Ahmedabad-Pune route.”

Air India will begin manufacturing all of its aircraft by 2023

54 of Air India’s narrow-body aircraft are currently operational, out of 70 in its fleet. As of 2023, service will be resumed for the remaining 16 aircraft.

CEO and MD of Air India, Campbell Wilson, said: In addition to improving connectivity between key metros, this expansion bolsters Air India’s international and domestic networks. Air India has been working closely with our partners to return aircraft to service over the past six months, and we are delighted that our efforts are now paying off.

Additionally, the airline is planning to buy more than 200 new planes, 70 percent of which will have narrow bodies.
