“Requirement for Negative Pre-Departure COVID-19 Test Result or Documentation of Recovery from COVID-19 for all Airline or Other Aircraft Passengers Arriving into the United States from Any Foreign Country.” According to the order, all the passengers who are two years and older traveling to the United States from a foreign country were required to furnish a negative covid-19 report or documentation of recovery before boarding their flight.
According to the recent developments the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) within the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has revoked the order and it will no longer be in effect from 12:01 AM ET on June 12, 2022.
The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), on December 6, 2021, amended the order dated October 25, 2021, “Requirement for Proof of Negative COVID-19 Test or Recovery from COVID-19 for All Air Passengers Arriving in the United States.” As per the amendment the requirements of the covid-19 negative report or documentation of recovery for passengers boarding flights from foreign countries to the United States were updated.
The order further went into effect after 12:01am EST (5:01am GMT) on December 6, 202 that was then published in the Federal Register.
