India to resume international flights on this date!
It’s been two years since India has banned international flights due to COVID 19 pandemic. There are only a few countries that are operating India resume international flights under the bubble agreement.
On Tuesday, the aviation ministry of India announced that India is now ready to reopen its international borders for all international flights. All international flights will be operational from March 27, 2022. This will also end the ongoing bubble agreement.
International Flights Resuming March 27
The Director General of the Civil Aviation (DGCA)’s official Twitter handle released the statement which reads that the competent authority has decided to resume scheduled commercial international passenger services to/from India with effect from 27th March 2022 i.e. start of Summer Schedule 2022. Accordingly, the scheduled international passenger services to/from India shall remain suspended till 2359 hrs 1ST on 26th March 2022.
Resumption of commercial India resume international flights services would imply reversion to bilaterally agreed capacity entitlements and termination of air bubble arrangements. Airlines will restrict their operations to capacity entitlements under bilateral ASAs/traffic rights available with the airlines, with effect from 27th March 2022.

All these operations shall be subject to strict adherence to the MoH&FW’s guidelines for international travel dated 10.02.2022 and as amended from time to time.”
As soon as the news of international flights resumption broke out, growth in airlines’ share was witnessed. The news brought cheer to the airline industry and gave a much-required respite.
