Travel TipsUltimate Ways for Survival on Long Haul Flights

Spending a holiday in India is everyone’s dream. People go with family, friends, and even solo to gain some positive vibe in this cultural and traditional country.

USA to India is really a very long journey. Flying in a long-haul is not so easy because you have to travel in a stuffy aircraft cabin. The noise of others all around makes the situation worse. No one can handle such a situation when they need to reach refreshed, relaxed and ready for exploring new places.

It is not everyone’s cup of tea to start discovering when you touch down. But, we have some useful tricks that can help you in staying refreshed in a long-haul flight and reach energetically.

Wear Comfortable Clothes:-

Long Haul Flights

It is nice to look good but if we talk about sitting on a seat for 10 to 15 hours you need to be in a comfy set of clothes rather than your favorite tight dress. No one can bear tight clothes on a flight for more than an hour. So, be in your best loose-fitted outfit and close-toed shoes for ease of sleeping.

Bring Less Cabin Baggage:-

Put all your in-flight essentials in your cabin baggage such as sanitizer, toothbrush, towel, charger, and many more. But make sure you keep the travel bag limited. It never looks cool to move with a great big suitcase around the boarding area and trying to stuff it into the overhead lockers forcefully.

Own Snacks And Food:-

Airlines provide food and beverages after a regular interval. But it is better to bring your own snacks for bouts of hunger. Most people are not used to flight food and at high altitudes, you may don’t like the taste of food too. Thus having some of your favorite snacks will be helpful at that situation. If you have some food preferences or allergies then mention it while booking the tickets.

Move Around To Take A Walk:

exercises in your seat

Never stay on your seat for long hours otherwise you may suffer from DVT (Deep Vein Thrombosis). A proper walk after a regular time interval leads to proper blood flow in the body. It will keep your body healthy. You can also practice some non-intrusive exercises in your seat, like rolling your shoulders and rotating your ankles.

Keep Yourself Hydrated:

Aircraft cabins are dry and you already feel anxious due to high altitude and pressure. In that situation, you must avoid caffeine, alcohol, and too much tea. Rather than this you must keep drinking water and stay hydrated. It will make you feel pleasant onboard. You can bring a water bottle with yourself and ask the attendants to refill when it gets empty.

Prepare For Sleep:

If you aren’t on a direct flight to India and it includes a long layover, head towards an airport lounge. You may qualify for free access depending on your airline status or type of airfare ticket. If you don’t qualify for free access, pay for it because health is more important than money.

Be Gentle: At flights, you may feel uncomfortable and anxious if you aren’t a frequent flyer. Make sure you do not hassle other people with your anxiety. Try to be calm and sit properly, if you feel unpleasant then share your problem with the flight attendant. They will try to make you comfortable and sort your problem.
